Our businesses

Sugar, Ethanol and Energy

Our flexibility is one of our key
competitive advantages.

Production

We produce sugarcane maximizing the natural advantages

Our operations are located in Mato Grosso do Suland Minas Gerais, Brazil. There we plant and process sugarcane, the most efficient crop for the production of sugar and ethanol.

Climate and soil quality allows us to obtain high yield at a low production cost.

We operate under a continuous harvest model, allowing us to harvest and crush sugarcane year-round, thus further maximizing operational and industrial efficiencies.

  • +193 thousand hectares of sugarcane
  • High efficiency through the conversion of biomass into renewable energy

Industry

We are fully integrated to maximize efficiencies

Sugarcane processing allows us to obtain sugar and ethanol, a clean and renewable fuel. We also generate bioelectricity from bagasse, a byproduct of the crushing process. This business is entirely circular, since we also reuse all the residues of the industry, such as vinasse and the filter cake, which return to the field as biofertilizers. Our flexibility to switch from one product to the other constitutes one of our competitive advantages and allows us to make a more efficient use of our fixed assets.

Mato Grosso do Sul Cluster Angelica Mill: 5.6 MM tons/year of sugarcane crushing capacity.
Ivinhema Mill: 7.4 MM tons/year of sugarcane crushing capacity.

Monte Alegre Mill, Minas Gerais 1.2 MM tons/year of sugarcane crushing capacity.

  • 11 million tons of sugarcane crushed
  • Up to 956 thousand tons of sugar
  • Up to 781 thousand m³ of ethanol
  • 950 thousand MWh of renewable electric energy
